ISLAMABAD: A comprehensive security plan for the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit was approved on Wednesday during a meeting led by Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
The meeting was attended by the federal interior secretary, additional secretaries, Islamabad’s chief commissioner, IG, and deputy commissioner, the deputy commandant of the FC, the sector commander of Pakistan Rangers, and representatives from security agencies.
During the session, the interior minister emphasized the significance of hosting the SCO summit in Pakistan, noting the honor of welcoming several heads of state. He stated that additional personnel from the Pakistan Army, Rangers, FC, and Punjab Police would be deployed to ensure full security for the distinguished guests.
